I grieve for the career landscape shifting under me. Webdev's been my thing for over three decades. But, it's not a hot field anymore, whether folks like it or not: mobile apps took some big bites, but AI engineering is really ruling the roost now. I've been worried whether I could make that shift. I think I have been, but the anxiety is genuine, and I don't think it's finished.
The pledge doesn't appear to be any form of binding agreement and there's no discussion of enforcement or a penalty for companies that don't honor the stipulated provisions. I don’t do that for our products, but I do that all the time for just personal passion projects, and I DM… Dungeons and Dragons is kind of my jam, and I DM probably three or four groups.
